Job Description:
We are seeking a poised, articulate, and highly organized NYSC Corp Member to join our team as a Front Desk Officer. This is more than just a reception role; it is an opportunity to be the "Face of the Brand" in a fast-paced media environment.
This position is specifically designed for a Corps Member seeking a Primary Place of Assignment (PPA) where they can build a foundation in corporate communications, office administration, and high-level stakeholder management. Requirements:
1. Professional First Impressions & Guest Relations
Visitor Management: Receive and attend to guests, high-profile clients, and vendors with professional warmth, ensuring they are correctly identified and directed.
Access Control: Maintain the security of the facility by keeping accurate visitor logs and managing front-office entry protocols.
Aesthetic Stewardship: Ensure the reception area is consistently presentable, tidy, and reflective of a premium media brand.
2. Communication & Information Triage
Switchboard Operations: Efficiently answer, screen, and route incoming calls to the appropriate departments while taking accurate messages.
Correspondence Flow: Manage the receipt and distribution of incoming mail and the dispatch of outgoing deliveries and professional documents.
Inquiry Management: Act as a central hub for general inquiries, providing basic and accurate information to callers and walk-ins.
3. Operational Support & Coordination
Administrative Assistance: Support the management team with basic clerical tasks, including data entry (Excel), document preparation (Word), and email management.
Internal Liaison: Work closely with internal staff to ensure that meetings, deliveries, and guest arrivals are coordinated without friction.
Resource Management: Assist in monitoring front-office supplies and ensuring the availability of corporate brochures or materials.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
NYSC Status: Current Corps Member seeking a Primary Place of Assignment (PPA). Recently deployed members are preferred.
Education: Minimum of OND/HND/BSc in any relevant discipline.
Location: Must reside in Lekki Phase 1 or its immediate environs (e.g., Ikate, Agungi, Victoria Island).
Experience: Proven prior experience as a receptionist, front desk officer, or in a customer-facing role (even during internships) is highly valued.
Core Competencies
Professional Presence: Excellent grooming, a courteous manner, and a professional appearance.
Tech Literacy: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email management.
Interpersonal IQ: Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
