Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Finance Officer to join our growing team. As a core member of our finance department, you will ensure that our daily financial operations, from payroll to tax compliance, run like a well-oiled machine. Requirements:
1. Financial Operations & Ledger Management
Accounts Governance: Oversee the full cycle of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring that vendor payments and client collections are executed with precision.
Banking Integration: Utilize your experience with BankOne to manage core financial transactions and ensure seamless synchronization between banking operations and internal ledgers.
Payroll & Tax: Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including the accurate computation of tax withholdings and statutory deductions.
2. Reporting, Budgeting & Variance Analysis
Statement Preparation: Assist in the drafting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with reporting standards.
Budget Tracking: Actively monitor budget expenses across departments, identifying and reporting on variances to ensure fiscal discipline.
Data Synthesis: Translate dense financial data into clear, executive-friendly insights for non-finance colleagues.
3. Compliance & Audit Readiness
Regulatory Adherence: Ensure every transaction complies with local financial regulations and internal corporate policies.
Audit Stewardship: Maintain "audit-ready" documentation, serving as a primary support pillar for both internal and external audit exercises.
Internal Controls: Identify and resolve discrepancies early to maintain the highest level of financial integrity.
Qualifications and Skills:
Academic & Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Academic Standing: Must have a Second-Class Upper (2:1) or higher from a recognized university.
Current Sector: Must currently be employed within a Bank or Financial Institution.
Age: Maximum age of 28 years.
Technical & Soft Skills
Experience: 2 – 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
Software Mastery: Expertise in BankOne and a strong command of Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate financial concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
