Job Description:

We are seeking a high-integrity, analytical Audit Officer to serve as a critical pillar of our corporate governance. In this role, you will be responsible for objectively evaluating our business processes, financial records, and internal controls to protect company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate possesses a "forensic mindset" and the ability to look beyond the surface of a transaction to identify underlying risks. You will act as a consultant for improvement, transforming audit findings into actionable strategies that enhance operational efficiency. Requirements:

1. Internal Control & Compliance Management

• Departmental Audits: Plan and execute comprehensive audits across various departments to verify adherence to established company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Control Evaluation: Test the strength of internal controls (e.g., segregation of duties, authorization limits) and recommend enhancements to prevent fraud or waste.

• Regulatory Alignment: Ensure the organization remains in full compliance with local laws, industry-specific regulations, and financial reporting standards.

2. Financial Forensics & Risk Assessment

• Transaction Review: Conduct deep-dive reviews of financial records and transactions to identify errors, irregularities, or potential financial leakage.

• Risk Identification: Identify emerging operational and financial risks, providing management with an early-warning system for potential bottlenecks.

• External Audit Support: Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring all requested documentation is accurate, complete, and provided in a timely manner.

3. Reporting & Strategic Monitoring

• Evidence-Based Reporting: Draft concise, high-impact audit reports that clearly outline findings, implications, and recommended corrective actions.

• Implementation Tracking: Monitor the "Audit Loop" by tracking the progress of management’s implementation of audit recommendations.

• Process Improvement: Collaborate with department heads to streamline workflows based on audit insights to improve overall productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

• Experience: 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in internal/external audit or core accounting.

• Technical IQ: High proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with accounting or audit-specific software.

Core Competencies
