Job Description:
We are seeking a high-integrity Audit Officer to safeguard company assets and ensure operational excellence at our Iyana-Isolo facility. In this role, you will be the primary shield against system deficiencies, responsible for identifying flaws and implementing robust control measures across our administrative and operational departments.
The ideal candidate has a "detective mindset" and deep experience in the automotive or logistics sector. You will be responsible for tracking everything from diesel consumption and spare parts inventory to price market surveys and outsourced job cards. If you have 3–4 years of experience and the ability to turn complex data into actionable audit reports, we invite you to lead our internal control efforts.
Requirements:
1. Systems Audit & SOP Compliance
Deficiency Identification: Proactively identify system flaws and instill appropriate control measures to mitigate financial and operational risks.
SOP Adherence: Act as the primary enforcer of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring that every department operates within established guidelines.
Implementation Tracking: Monitor the execution of audit recommendations to ensure that identified weaknesses are permanently resolved.
2. Operational & Fleet Audit
Technical Auditing: Monitor operational documentation, including Job Cards, parts consumption, and outsourced technical jobs, to prevent inflated costs or ghost repairs.
Procurement Oversight: Conduct regular price market surveys to validate local purchases and ensure the company receives "Value for Money."
Fuel & Energy Audit: Maintain a rigorous monitoring system for Diesel and Petrol procurement and consumption, identifying and reporting variances immediately.
3. Inventory & Financial Analysis
Stock Integrity: Conduct periodic physical stock checks and "Tally Reviews" to ensure physical inventory matches digital records for spare parts and consumables.
Expense Forensic: Perform deep-dive analysis on Administrative expenses, stationery, and consumables to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Reporting Excellence: Prepare comprehensive audit reports post-task completion, providing management with clear evidence and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Experience: Minimum of 3 – 4 years in auditing, with a strong preference for experience in the Automotive or Logistics Industry.
Certification: Membership in a professional body (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CIA) is a significant advantage.
Technical IQ
Framework Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
Software Mastery: Proficiency in audit software and advanced Microsoft Excel (Data analysis, Pivot tables, and Audit formulas).
Analytical Prowess: Ability to spot discrepancies in large datasets and physical documentation.
