Job Description:
Slice Finance (SF) is seeking a Growth & Intake Lead to serve as the strategic "Front Door" of our organization. In the fast-moving world of global fintech, the difference between a successful scale-up and a regulatory failure often comes down to entity structure, licensing, and audit readiness.
Your mission is to source, qualify, and structure high-intent startup demand from global founders. This is not a traditional sales role; it is a Risk-Filtering & Growth function. You will ensure that only "fit-for-model" clients enter our delivery pipeline, protecting our operational capacity while helping founders navigate the complexities of U.S. tax filings, cross-border entity registration, and certifications like PCI DSS and ISO 27001.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Sourcing & Ecosystem Integration
Network Navigation: Proactively source inbound leads from VC networks (e.g., YC, Techstars), accelerators, and major tech summits like GITEX Africa, SIGMA, and Lagos Startup Week.
Founder Discovery: Conduct deep-dive discovery calls to diagnose founder pain points—ranging from Delaware C-Corp setups and U.S. bank accounts to VASP and MSB licensing.
Brand Positioning: Represent Slice Finance as a premier compliance partner, prioritizing our Annual Audit and CFO-as-a-Service products for startups.
2. Structured Qualification & Risk Guardrails
The "Gatekeeper" Protocol: Enforce strict intake guardrails, rejecting non-compliant, under-resourced, or out-of-scope requests to prevent operational bottlenecks.
Decision Tree Scoping: Use standardized frameworks to determine if a founder needs a U.S. C-Corp + State Registrations + a PCI DSS roadmap, ensuring 100% scope clarity.
Compliance Mindset: Prioritize reputational risk and regulatory alignment above volume, ensuring zero onboarding of high-risk or policy-violating clients.
3. Commercial Discipline & Operational Handoff
Pricing Integrity: Communicate clear, pre-approved pricing bands; this role is about structured packaging, not bespoke discounting.
Dossier Management: Ensure all KYC/B documentation and business model clarity are secured before handoff.
Seamless Transition: Coordinate the delivery of a complete "Intake Dossier" to the Compliance & Tax Operations Lead, minimizing post-onboarding scope changes.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: 2–5 years in a fintech-heavy VC firm, accelerator, incubator, or startup services platform.
Ecosystem Access: Demonstrated ability to engage founders and filter "noise from signal" within the Nigerian and global tech space.
Education: Relevant degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
Technical IQ
Regulatory Literacy: Familiarity with terms like EIN, W-9, FATCA, MSB registration, VASP, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
CRM Mastery: Proficiency in HubSpot, Salesforce, or Notion CRM to manage a high-value pipeline.
Commercial Grit: Commercially aware but disciplined enough to say "no" to misaligned engagements.
