Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile and highly organized Procurement Officer to lead our sourcing operations across four diverse business units: Pharmacy, FMCG, Electronics, and Hospitality (Café/Restaurant). In this role, you are not just a "buyer"; you are a strategic negotiator responsible for protecting the company’s margins and ensuring our shelves—and kitchens—are never empty.

Based in Lagos, you will manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle—from conducting market surveys in local and international hubs to managing complex vendor credit terms. Your mission is to ensure that every unit, from the pharmacy to the café, receives high-quality supplies at the best possible price. Requirements:

1. Multi-Sector Sourcing & Vendor Governance

• Category Management: Source and procure specialized items for Pharmacy (regulated goods), FMCG, Electronics, and Food Commodities, ensuring each unit meets its specific quality standards.

• Negotiation Mastery: Lead negotiations on pricing and credit terms to maximize profitability and cash flow.

• Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Build and maintain a robust database of reliable vendors, conducting regular performance audits to ensure quality and reliability.

2. Supply Chain Optimization & Inventory Control

• Replenishment Strategy: Monitor stock levels across all branches, utilizing data to process timely replenishments and prevent "stock-outs" or overstocking.

• Warehouse & Logistics Synergy: Collaborate with Store Managers, Pharmacists, and Warehouse teams to ensure a seamless flow of goods from the supplier to the point of sale.

• Cost-Saving Initiatives: Conduct regular market surveys to identify price trends and implement strategies to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

3. Documentation & Financial Compliance

• PO Management: Prepare accurate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure all documentation is perfectly aligned for the Accounts department to process payments.

• ERP Proficiency: Utilize ERP systems and Advanced Excel to track orders, manage spend analytics, and maintain transparent procurement records.

• Audit Readiness: Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements (especially for pharmaceutical sourcing).

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: B.Sc in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Experience: 2–4 years of procurement experience within the Retail, FMCG, Pharmacy, or Hospitality sectors.

• Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of FMCG trends, pharmaceutical sourcing regulations, and food commodity pricing.

Core Competencies

• Negotiation Skills: Ability to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong supplier partnerships.

• Technical IQ: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Odoo, or Sage).

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in document verification and numerical accuracy.

• Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams (Pharmacists, Chefs, and Store Managers).
