Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Procurement Officer to join our team and play a vital role in our supply chain operations. This position is perfect for an early-career professional eager to develop expertise in sourcing, vendor management, and purchasing strategies. You will be the point of contact for our suppliers, ensuring that the materials and services we need to operate are sourced cost-effectively and delivered on schedule. Requirements:
Sourcing & Quotations: Assist in identifying reliable suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations to ensure the best value for the company.
Documentation: Prepare accurate purchase orders (POs) and maintain meticulous procurement documentation and filing systems.
Vendor Coordination: Liaise directly with vendors to confirm pricing, negotiate terms where appropriate, and ensure all delivery timelines are met.
Order Tracking: Proactively track all open orders and follow up with suppliers to prevent delays and address any supply chain bottlenecks.
Data Maintenance: Keep our supplier database and procurement records up-to-date and highly organized.
Analysis & Support: Conduct basic price comparisons and cost analyses to support the team in making informed purchasing decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to understand their requirements and ensure procurement processes satisfy operational needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple orders and documentation simultaneously without losing track of details.
Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel for tracking and analysis.
Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills for effective vendor and internal team coordination.
