Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned and execution-driven Head of Operations to lead our organizational engine in Nigeria. In this role, you will be the primary architect of efficiency, responsible for the end-to-end management of our operational processes, supply chain, and resource allocation. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and ground-level execution, ensuring that our business units operate with surgical precision.
The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a "lean" mindset—someone who can identify bottlenecks before they occur and implement scalable systems that drive growth. If you have a proven track record of managing complex operations in the Nigerian market and a passion for operational excellence, we want you to lead our team.
Requirements:
1. Operational Strategy & Process Optimization
Systems Architecture: Design and implement robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that ensure consistency and quality across all regional offices.
Continuous Improvement: Apply methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve service delivery timelines.
Resource Allocation: Oversee the strategic distribution of manpower, technology, and capital to maximize ROI across business units.
2. Supply Chain & Logistics Governance
Procurement Excellence: Oversee vendor management and procurement strategies to ensure a high-quality, cost-effective supply chain.
Logistics Oversight: Manage the complexities of the Nigerian logistics landscape, ensuring timely distribution and inventory accuracy.
Risk Mitigation: Develop and maintain contingency plans to protect operations from market volatility or infrastructural challenges.
3. Leadership, P&L, and Compliance
Executive Leadership: Direct and mentor department heads, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in accountability and innovation.
Financial Stewardship: Manage the operational budget and P&L, ensuring that all activities align with the organization’s financial targets.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations strictly adhere to Nigerian labor laws, health and safety (HSE) standards, and industry-specific regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: Extensive experience in a senior operations leadership role (Director or Head level), preferably within a large-scale enterprise in Nigeria.
Certification: Professional certifications such as PMP, COREN (if applicable), or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are highly desirable.
Core Competencies
Strategic Vision: The ability to see the "big picture" while maintaining an obsessive attention to detail.
Crisis Management: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under high pressure.
Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and P&L oversight.
