Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our market expansion efforts in Lagos. This is a high-impact leadership role for a strategic thinker who can identify untapped market opportunities and convert them into sustainable revenue streams.

You will be responsible for the entire growth lifecycle—from high-level lead generation and partnership architecture to closing complex deals and managing high-value client relationships. If you possess a Master’s Degree, a minimum of 3–5 years of experience, and a proven track record of hitting aggressive revenue targets in the Nigerian market, we invite you to drive our business forward.

Requirements:

1. Market Expansion & Opportunity Identification

  • Strategic Prospecting: Identify and penetrate new market segments through data-driven research and deep industry networking.

  • Competitor Intelligence: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify unique value propositions and white-space opportunities.

  • Revenue Architecture: Design and implement business development initiatives that align with the company’s long-term revenue targets.

2. Strategic Partnerships & Relationship Management

  • Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic alliances that enhance the company’s market reach and service offerings.

  • Client Retention & Growth: Manage key client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

  • Stakeholder Diplomacy: Act as the primary brand ambassador in high-level meetings, industry conferences, and executive networking events.

3. Sales Leadership & Pipeline Governance

  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the end-to-end sales funnel, from initial lead qualification to contract negotiation and closing.

  • Proposal Excellence: Lead the creation of winning business proposals, pitch decks, and commercial tenders.

  • Performance Reporting: Provide the executive team with regular insights into pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant work experience in Business Development, Strategic Sales, or Partnership Management.

  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Nigerian business landscape, regulatory environment, and corporate networking in Lagos.
