Job Description:
- We are a leading FMCG company and major distributor of food products seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Operations Manager to support the management of our daily distribution and logistics operations.
- The successful candidate will assist in coordinating warehouse activities, inventory management, order fulfillment, and delivery operations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Assist in managing daily distribution, warehouse, and logistics operations to optimize efficiency.
- Coordinate Order Processing: Support the coordination of order processing, picking, and dispatch to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Monitor Inventory Levels: Track inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Supervise Staff: Assist in supervising warehouse staff and delivery personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure Timely Deliveries: Guarantee timely and accurate delivery of products to customers and partners.
- Implement Operational Policies: Support the implementation of operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity.
- Prepare Reports: Assist in preparing operational and inventory reports for management review.
- Monitor Performance: Evaluate operational performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Resolve Issues: Assist in resolving operational issues and addressing customer delivery concerns promptly.
Requirements:
- Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership and supervisory skills to guide teams efficiently.
- Inventory Knowledge: Good understanding of inventory management and logistics processes.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools for data analysis.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to handle operational challenges.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4–7 years of experience in FMCG distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Management Skills: Proven experience in managing warehouse and distribution activities effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with major FMCG distributors.
- Background in managing delivery operations and warehouse teams.
- Knowledge of inventory systems or ERP software is an added advantage.
