Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Operations Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our fashion house. This role is designed for a leader who understands that the soul of fashion lies in the precision of the production line.
Reporting directly to the Brand Owner, you will oversee the entire value chain—from fabric procurement and patternmaking to final assembly and dispatch. Your mission is to transform creative visions into scalable, high-quality menswear through efficient staff management and rigorous resource optimization. Requirements:
1. Production & Technical Oversight
Workflow Optimization: Lead the end-to-end production process, ensuring seamless coordination between patternmaking, cutting, and sewing departments.
Technical Quality Control: Apply your knowledge of menswear construction to ensure all garments meet the brand’s quality benchmarks and fit specifications.
Capacity Planning: Manage production schedules to meet delivery deadlines for both bespoke orders and mass-market collections.
2. Procurement & Resource Management
Supply Chain Governance: Oversee the sourcing and procurement of fabrics, notions, and machinery, ensuring we maintain a high-quality yet cost-effective supplier base.
Inventory Control: Implement systems to track fabric utilization and minimize waste, directly impacting the brand’s bottom line.
Asset Maintenance: Ensure all industrial sewing machines and production equipment are regularly serviced to prevent downtime.
3. Staff Leadership & Administration
Performance Management: Supervise a diverse team of tailors, cutters, and administrative staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous skill development.
Administrative Excellence: Manage the daily administrative functions of the fashion house, including record-keeping, payroll support, and general business oversight.
Strategic Alignment: Work closely with the Brand Owner to translate business goals into actionable operational plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
Sector Expertise: Minimum of one year of experience in the fashion industry, specifically with menswear production or design.
Industrial Background: Proven experience in a mass garment manufacturing environment is essential.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in at least one production process (sewing, patternmaking, cutting, or fabric procurement).
Core Competencies
Leadership Power: Strong ability to manage multiple teams and tasks while maintaining an obsession with detail.
Communication: Fluency in English with elite interpersonal skills to manage both high-level stakeholders and production staff.
Strategic Mindset: Ability to identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.
