Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Treasury Specialist to drive Foreign Exchange (FX) revenue performance within our Wealth and Retail Banking division in Nigeria. You will be responsible for the end-to-end marketing and delivery of Capital Market Products and Solutions (CMPS). This role demands a high-level collaborator who can bridge the gap between complex market trading operations and the specific financial needs of our affluent client base.

Requirements:

  • Strategy & Business Growth: Lead the CMPS business strategy, focusing on FX revenue achievement, cross-selling Fixed Income, and Wealth Lending opportunities.

  • Product Development: Design and bring to market product/service bundles tailored to the specific needs of the Nigerian wealth/retail segment.

  • Execution & Processes: Ensure all FX deals and financial processes are executed strictly in line with Department Operating Instructions (DOI) and institutional policies.

  • Risk & Compliance: Maintain a zero-tolerance policy for errors (e.g., "Cancel and Amend" deals) and ensure full adherence to the Group’s risk management framework, ethics, and regulatory conduct standards.

  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain close collaborative relationships with Branch Managers, Relationship Managers, Markets Trading, Operations, and Legal/Compliance teams.

  • Health & Safety: Proactively participate in workplace safety, risk mitigation, and incident reporting in accordance with H&S standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: First Degree.

  • Certifications: ACI Dealing Certification (from the ACI Financial Markets Association) is mandatory.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Data Analytics.

  • Language: Fluent in English.

  • Competencies:

    • Strategic Mindset: Ability to identify revenue opportunities and shifts in market distribution.

    • Decision Quality: Strong judgment in deal execution and risk assessment.

    • Collaboration: Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams (Wealth Solutions, Markets Trading, Operations).

    • Customer Focus: Dedication to meeting the specific FX and investment needs of affluent clients.
