Job Description:
We are seeking a high-energy, technically proficient, and articulate Operations Manager to lead our travel agency in Ibadan. This is a dual-impact role: you will be the operational engine ensuring seamless visa and travel processing, and the charismatic voice representing the agency in the media and public forums.
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee a wide portfolio of services, from Study Abroad and Relocation support to Global Tour Packages (UK, Canada, Schengen, Qatar, etc.). Your mission is to maintain a "zero-error" documentation environment, lead a high-performing team, and drive brand authority through public speaking and radio appearances. If you have 2–4 years of experience in travel operations and are as comfortable with a visa portal as you are with a microphone, we invite you to lead our team.
Requirements:
1. Visa Operations & Technical Advisory
Global Mobility Expert: Lead the professional preparation and submission of visa applications for the UK, Canada, Schengen, and African/Middle Eastern destinations.
Compliance & Guidance: Provide expert counseling on embassy requirements, document verification, and Proof of Funds (POF) guidance to ensure high approval rates.
End-to-End Itinerary Planning: Oversee the curation of flight bookings, hotel reservations, and customized tour packages for holidaymakers and students.
2. Office Leadership & Efficiency
Operational Governance: Supervise daily office activities, manage staff schedules, and ensure all customer inquiries are handled with professional urgency.
Performance Monitoring: Set and monitor departmental targets, implementing "Lean" processes to reduce errors in documentation and booking.
Policy Enforcement: Ensure all team members adhere to company SOPs and regulatory travel guidelines, reporting directly to ownership on regional performance.
3. Public Relations & Media Engagement
Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as the agency’s spokesperson, appearing for Radio Interviews and public presentations to discuss travel trends and visa pathways.
Bilingual Communication: Utilize fluency in English and Yoruba to build trust within the local Ibadan community and handle diverse client demographics.
Market Positioning: Identify emerging travel trends (Study Abroad, Work Permits, Relocations) and position the agency as a thought leader in the Oyo State market.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
Experience: 2–4 years of proven experience in travel agency operations or visa consulting.
Communication IQ: Must be fluent in English and Yoruba. Candidates must be confident and charismatic enough to speak on air and before large crowds.
Technical Stack: Strong computer skills (GDS systems knowledge is an advantage, but proficiency in Microsoft Office and online visa portals is mandatory).
