Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Transactions Specialist to join our advisory team in Abuja. In this role, you will be a key driver in the delivery of high-stakes infrastructure project advisory services, navigating the complex lifecycle of capital projects from initial feasibility to financial close. You will bridge the gap between policy formulation, financial modeling, and stakeholder management to deliver world-class solutions for both public and private sector clients.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a "results mindset," capable of managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering sophisticated technical outputs in the fast-evolving African infrastructure market.

Requirements:

Transaction Advisory & Project Delivery

  • Framework Implementation: Support the development of operating guidelines that translate core company values into actionable transaction advisory principles.

  • Lifecycle Management: Provide technical expertise across the project lifecycle, including programme design, milestone management, risk allocation matrices, and benefit realization.

  • Document Production: Lead the creation of high-quality client deliverables: Outline Business Cases (OBCs), feasibility studies, procurement documents, and detailed delivery roadmaps.

  • Financial Modeling: Build, analyze, and stress-test complex financial models to inform project structuring and investment decisions.

  • Policy & Capacity Building: Advise on the formulation of national Public-Private Partnership (PPP) policies and organize masterclasses for senior decision-makers.

Business Development & Strategic Growth

  • Opportunity Origination: Identify and resource new business opportunities that align with the firm's expanding capabilities.

  • Bid Management: Lead the preparation of competitive proposals, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and RFPs, including managing challenges for Unsolicited Proposals.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain high-level relationships with government officials, multilateral development partners, and private sector financiers.

  • Thought Leadership: Produce blogs, insight reports, and industry publications that showcase the firm’s expertise and stay ahead of regulatory changes in the capital projects space.

Team Leadership & Quality Assurance

  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior associates, fostering a problem-solving culture within the team.

  • Resource Mobilization: Draw on personal networks and expert databases to assemble high-impact teams for specific project needs.

  • Standard Setting: Ensure all team outputs across the project portfolio meet global professional service standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).

  • Experience:

    • 5–7 years in infrastructure project management or capital projects advisory.

    • Direct experience with Project Feasibility, Options Appraisal, and Project Structuring.

    • Proven track record in project procurement through to Financial Close.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Deep understanding of alternative contract types, including EPC and PPP.

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling) and PowerPoint (high-stakes presentations).

    • Strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Communication: Exceptional writing and oral skills, capable of distilling complex data into briefings for diverse audiences.

    • Adaptability: Experience working with inter-cultural, interdisciplinary teams across multiple time zones.

    • Ownership: A self-starter who takes full responsibility for project outcomes and maintains a results-oriented disposition.

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel both locally and internationally as required by project demands.

₦300,000 - ₦400,000/month
