Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Tax Accountant to join our finance team in Ikeja. You will be responsible for ensuring our organization’s total compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations while developing strategic tax planning initiatives. This is a leadership-oriented role that requires not only deep expertise in tax law and auditing but also the ability to supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team. Requirements:

• Tax Compliance & Strategy: Ensure absolute compliance with all regulatory requirements; provide proactive tax planning strategies that optimize financial outcomes.

• Advisory & Research: Research, interpret, and apply evolving tax laws; advise management on the tax implications of business decisions.

• Filing & Reporting: Compute monthly and annual tax obligations; manage a rigorous tax calendar to guarantee 100% timely filing of returns.

• Audit Management: Plan and execute tax audits, identify risks or findings, and communicate actionable solutions to stakeholders.

• Team Leadership: Supervise the tax and accounting team, conduct performance evaluations, and foster professional development through coaching and mentorship.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 4–6 years of professional experience in tax accounting or corporate auditing.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Deep knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory frameworks.

  • Proven ability in tax computation, filing, and audit execution.
