Job Description:

NeoLiving is a PropTech startup focused on one thing: Pure Execution. We are not looking for a manager to direct others; we are looking for a Builder. We need a developer who is ready to leverage modern AI tools to ship real features and bring trust to the Nigerian property market.

In this role, you won't be managing backlogs or drafting long documents. You will be building. You will dive into an existing codebase, refactor logic, and ship features that help Nigerians avoid real estate fraud. If you are an autonomous troubleshooter who wants to learn how to ship products in days rather than months, NeoLiving is where you belong.

Requirements:

1. Full-Stack Ownership & Performance

• Own the Stack: Take full responsibility for a React (TypeScript) frontend and modern backend infrastructure. You ensure the database is secure, the logic is sound, and the performance is elite.

• Refactor & Ship: Identify rough edges in the existing codebase, optimize for scale, and move code to production with confidence.

• Problem Solving: Build features that address the pain points of buying and renting homes in Nigeria, ensuring high reliability and user trust.

2. Startup Speed & AI Integration

• Rapid Delivery: Work directly with the Co-founders to understand the product vision and translate it into working features at startup speed.

• AI-Augmented Workflows: Leverage modern AI development tools (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to automate boilerplate, debug faster, and increase your overall shipping velocity.

• Continuous Optimization: Constantly evaluate the platform for performance bottlenecks and implement logic improvements without waiting for a prompt.

3. Technical Governance & Autonomy

• Independent Troubleshooting: When you hit a bug, you own it. You read the documentation, search for solutions, and resolve errors independently.

• Goal-Oriented Execution: You understand the "Why" behind a feature and find the most efficient "How" to build it without needing a manager to direct your every move.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Experience: 3+ years of actual coding experience with a deep mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript and React.

• Startup DNA: Proven experience in fast-paced environments. You understand the difference between being "busy" and delivering real value.

• Backend Proficiency: Strong familiarity with backend logic, database management, and tools like Firebase or Supabase.

• The "Builder" Portfolio: You must have a portfolio of shipped digital products that proves you can finish what you start.

Core Competencies

• Autonomy: High level of self-direction and responsibility.

• Speed: Ability to move from idea to production-ready code in days.

• Growth Mindset: A desire to eventually transition into a Senior Engineer or CTO role.
