We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- To ensure the safe and efficient operation of hydrocarbon equipment and production facility systems, maintaining reliability and availability in accordance with equipment strategies, operator care standards, and surveillance system requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe, steady and optimum operation of process equipment with established parameters and operating targets.
- Predict, detect, identify, and react to abnormal conditions that might degrade into unwanted situations.
- Follow approved and established procedures as outlined per the CAS Standard.
- Enforce the full utilization of Work Execution System and other processes to achieve an accident-free workplace (JSA, LMRA, O&I Procedures and Processes)
- Fully utilize Work Execution System tools and other processes to achieve an accident-free workplace (JSA, LMRA, O&I, Procedures and Processes)
- Deploy Facility Safety Management System; “Behavior Based” Job Observation program, inspections, safety programs, hazard identifications (HAZID), Near Miss and Incident Reporting and investigation as assigned.
- Support Emergency Response Preparedness program as required.
- Develop and review work packages for safe execution of planned maintenance activities.
- Follow all procedures, standards and regulations required during the execution of their duties.
- Comply with all regulatory laws and guidelines.
- Report any noncompliance or irregularities upon discovery to the supervisor and support resolution as required.
- Develop, obtain approval and implement measures to address identified non-compliance or irregularities.
- Maintain and service controls equipment to support operations and optimize unit productivity targets.
Requirements:
- At least a Higher National Diploma (HND) with Upper Credit or City & Guilds Finals with equivalent in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, Civil, Petroleum, etc.).
- B.Sc in Engineering Discipline
- Two (2) to eight (8) years of relevant oil and gas operational experience.
- Ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- Strong communication skills
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A safety-oriented, dedicated professional with knowledge of process plant operation who will effectively operate oil and gas equipment in line with relevant operations procedures and equipment manuals
