Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role is a strategic blend of core financial controllership and forward-looking business intelligence. You will be responsible for the integrity of bank reconciliations and receivable management, while also building financial models and providing the actionable insights necessary to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a chartered professional with a strong grasp of project accounting, particularly within the IT sector, and the ability to translate complex cost drivers into clear strategic recommendations.
Requirements:
Strategic Financial Insights & Reporting
Management Accounts: Prepare timely and accurate management accounts to provide visibility into financial performance, assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Performance Analysis: Perform variance analysis and evaluate the ROI of new IT projects or marketing campaigns to support data-driven decision-making.
Financial Modeling: Build robust financial models for new products and business initiatives, supporting pricing decisions and long-term business strategy.
Efficiency Oversight: Monitor operating costs—including cloud-related expenses and software development—and recommend efficiency improvements.
Treasury & Receivable Management
Bank Controllership: Ensure accurate recording and timely acknowledgment of all bank inflows and outflows; prepare regular reconciliation statements to rectify discrepancies.
Credit Control: Own the receivable management process, providing weekly Ageing Analysis reports and executing professional follow-up with debtors to ensure healthy cash flow.
Budgeting, Audit & Compliance
Budgetary Responsibility: Lead the collation of budget heads (OPEX & CAPEX) and develop detailed forecasts in collaboration with departmental heads.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate the annual audit process, responding to auditors’ queries professionally and assisting with the signing of audited financial statements.
Regulatory Alignment: Ensure strict compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
Systems & Operations
ERP Management: Post financial transactions to the company’s ERP system (Dynamics 365), ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in financial systems and workflows to enhance departmental productivity.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional Certification: Mandatory certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CIMA.
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in a similar Management Accounting role.
Hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar high-tier ERP systems.
Prior experience in an IT or service-based organization is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills:
Project Accounting: Knowledge of cost tracking for software development and cloud-based services.
Excel Mastery: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for complex data modeling and reporting.
Core Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and a high-level analytical mindset.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to relate to both technical IT teams and external regulatory agencies.
