We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • You will serve as the first-line technical support contact for staff within your assigned branch, while also actively monitoring systems and user activities to ensure compliance with Group IT policies.

  • This dual-focus role, combining hands-on IT support with governance and oversight, requires you to troubleshoot day-to-day technical issues, provide user training, and promote security-conscious practices across the organization.

Responsibilities/KPI
Typical Activities; End-User Support (50%):

  • Diagnose & resolve hardware, software, network, and printer issues (Windows, macOS & mobile)
  • Manage user accounts, Gmail, and Google Workspace services
  • Escalate complex incidents to Head Office while maintaining ownership until closure

Compliance & Monitoring (30%):

  • Perform daily/weekly checks against Group IT Policy (asset logs, patch status, AV dashboards, backup reports)
  • Run spot audits and document findings with corrective actions
  • Ensure new devices & apps meet security baseline before deployment

Training & Documentation (15%):

  • Deliver short classroom or one-on-one sessions on safe computing, phishing awareness, and productivity tips using Google Workspace tools
  • Keep branch “How-To” guides and knowledge-base articles current

Project & Vendor Support (5%):

  • Assist with roll-outs (WAN upgrades, CCTV, VoIP, ERP modules)
  • Liaise with external vendors, verify work quality, and sign-off against SLAs

Requirements:

  • OND / HND / Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or recognised equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on technical support in a multi-site or enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of enforcing or adhering to information-security or IT-governance standards (ISO 27001, ITIL, or similar)
  • Windows & macOS administration; basic Linux familiarity.
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi).
  • Google Workspace administration (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet) including groups, shared drives, and access controls.
  • Endpoint security tools and patch-management platforms.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written & spoken English; calm customer-service manner; strong documentation habits; ability to joggle priorities independently.
  • Willingness to travel between assigned branches - typically one short trip per month - and occasionally assist neighbouring sites (company-funded).
  • Industry certifications (Google Workspace Administrator, or equivalent) is a PLUS
  • Experience with help-desk ticketing systems (Jira, Freshservice, or similar) is an added advantage
  • Basic scripting (PowerShell / Bash) for automation.
  • Familiarity with CCTV, VoIP, or point-of-sale hardware.
