Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to join our team in the banking sector.
- The ideal candidate must have a strong background in human resources management within the financial services industry, particularly banking or microfinance banking, and possess the ability to drive people operations, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the bank’s overall business objectives.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent acquisition processes for various departments.
- Manage employee relations and resolve workplace issues professionally and confidentially.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, banking regulations, and internal HR policies.
- Coordinate performance management processes, appraisals, and employee development plans.
- Design and implement training and development programs to improve employee productivity and retention.
- Handle payroll coordination, compensation, benefits administration, and leave management.
- Maintain and update HR policies, employee records, and documentation.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and drive employee engagement initiatives.
- Advise management on organizational structure, workforce planning, and HR best practices.
- Monitor disciplinary procedures and ensure fair implementation of company policies.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics to support management decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years’ HR experience, with at least 4 years in an HR Manager role.
- Must have prior experience working in the banking or microfinance banking sector.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, etc.) is an added advantage
Salary
