Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional HR Assistant to join our team in a dynamic mining and industrial environment. This role is designed for an emerging HR professional who thrives in structured settings and wants to gain hands-on experience in the full spectrum of Human Resources. You will be the primary point of contact for daily administrative operations, playing a crucial role in maintaining employee records, facilitating onboarding, and supporting the welfare of our staff on-site.
Requirements:
Recruitment Support: Manage the end-to-end administrative side of hiring, including posting job openings, screening CVs, coordinating interview schedules, and facilitating the onboarding of new hires.
Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date physical and digital employee files, ensuring all HR databases remain compliant and organized.
Operational Admin: Support daily HR workflows, including attendance tracking, leave management, and the documentation necessary for payroll processing.
Policy Implementation: Assist in the communication and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and industrial safety regulations.
Employee Relations: Serve as a front-line resource for staff inquiries, escalating concerns to HR leadership when necessary.
Coordination & Welfare: Assist in organizing training programs, staff meetings, and employee welfare initiatives. Support the documentation process for disciplinary matters with strict attention to procedural fairness.
Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of integrity when handling sensitive personnel information.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience is an advantage.
Key Demographics: Female, aged 23–27 years old.
Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
Regulatory Knowledge: Working understanding of Nigerian labor laws and standard HR best practices.
Environment: A willingness and ability to work effectively in a mining/industrial site environment.
