Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team in Lagos. You will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, managing statutory compliance, and optimizing our reporting processes to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate quarterly financial reports and weekly performance metrics to track business health.

• Compliance & Tax: Ensure the prompt and accurate processing of all statutory payments, maintaining full regulatory compliance.

• Audit Management: Lead the external audit process in collaboration with the CFO, ensuring timely preparation and signing of accounts.

• Ledger Oversight: Regularly review the general ledger, prepare exception reports, and provide first-level approval for invoices and expenses.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the Credit Control Officer to ensure effective departmental performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Financial Excellence: Achieve a minimum of 90% credit collection and maintain a record of zero tax penalties or regulatory fines.

• Operational Efficiency: Ensure all quarterly reports are finalized by the 20th of the reporting month.

• Audit Milestones: Complete external audits and secure signed accounts at least one week prior to Board meetings.

• Vendor Management: Perform quarterly reconciliations for our top 10 vendor accounts.
