Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Warehouse Head to support our Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining a safe and productive environment.

The ideal candidate is a disciplined leader who understands the mechanics of inventory flow and is committed to maintaining high standards of organizational efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements:

Warehouse Operations & Supervision

• Logistics Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the daily movement of goods, ensuring that shipments and dispatches are handled accurately and on schedule.

• Process Implementation: Execute and maintain efficient warehouse procedures to streamline workflows and reduce operational bottlenecks.

• Team Leadership: Assist in leading a team of warehouse staff, providing the training and guidance necessary to meet productivity and quality benchmarks.

Inventory & Quality Control

• Stock Management: Assist in tracking stock movements and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

• Auditing: Conduct regular physical audits and reconciliations to ensure system accuracy.

• Standardization: Ensure all goods are accurately labeled, stored in appropriate zones, and rotated according to company policy (e.g., FIFO/FEFO).

Safety & Compliance

• HSE Standards: Enforce strict compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

• Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse floor and implement corrective actions for any identified hazards.

Reporting & Data Analysis

• Performance Tracking: Assist in generating operational reports regarding inventory levels, team productivity, and dispatch efficiency.

• Continuous Improvement: Analyze operational data to identify gaps and suggest changes that improve the bottom line.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: * Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Experience: * Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role within a logistics environment.

• Core Competencies:

  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop a diverse team.

  • Problem Solving: Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve logistical issues under pressure.

  • Prioritization: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Technical Proficiency: * Proficient in the use of Inventory Management Software (WMS) and the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

• Location: * Strict Requirement: Must be able to easily commute to Ago Palace Way, Lagos.
