Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Assistant Finance Manager to join our leadership team. This role is a unique blend of strategic oversight and hands-on execution, specifically designed for a professional who excels in international finance, banking relationship management, and expert foreign exchange (FX) management.

In this position, you will serve as a critical deputy to the Head of Department (HOD), supporting core accounting, project-based cost control, tax, and compliance. Your expertise will be pivotal in solidifying the company’s financial integrity and ensuring operational efficiency across all industrial and engineering projects.

Requirements:

International Finance & Treasury (Core Focus)

• FX Management: Take primary responsibility for foreign exchange management, navigating market volatility to protect company margins.

• Banking Relationships: Act as the first-hand manager for banking relationships, overseeing financing arrangements and treasury operations.

• International Accounting: Manage the complexities of cross-border financial transactions and international accounting standards.

Strategic Support & Project Accounting

• Project Oversight: Apply expert knowledge of project accounting and cost control to ensure the financial health of our engineering and industrial ventures.

• Budgeting: Provide high-level support for budgeting and budget administration, ensuring departmental and project alignment.

• Financial Planning: Assist the HOD in strategic planning, long-term forecasting, and the implementation of robust financial controls.

Compliance, Tax & Reporting

• Audit & Tax: Oversee compliance, tax filings, and audit preparation to ensure the company remains in good standing with all regulatory bodies.

• Reporting: Drive the accuracy of financial reporting, utilizing ERP systems to provide timely insights to senior leadership.

• Systems Management: Maintain and optimize financial systems (Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) to enhance data integrity and reporting speed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional Certification: ICAN or ACCA certification is mandatory.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience.

  • At least 1 year in a full or sub-level managerial role.

  • Direct experience in Project-based, Engineering, or Industrial environments.

  • Proven track record in International Finance and FX Management.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in ERP/Accounting systems.

  • Advanced financial analysis and reporting capabilities.

  • Deep understanding of international regulatory compliance.
