Job Description:
- We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our team, a mid-level experienced candidate who will support the Finance/Accounts Unit with the task of guiding businesses and individuals in decisions about spending money to attain profit.
- You will analyse data, evaluate investment opportunities, and provide recommendations to stakeholders/Firms.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but not limited to):
- Ensures general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and other financial records and schedules are accurately maintained.
- Institutes policies and procedures capable of protecting the business resources against waste, fraud, and inefficiency.
- Maintains procedures to establish tight control over cash transactions.
- Ensures timely follow up of accounts receivable and payable.
- Evaluates & implements internal and external audit recommendations & provides feedback to management on results.
- Implements budget and forecast preparation schedule by collecting relevant business data and projections from the line departments and provide relevant analyses and feedback.
- Provides support, service and advice in all finance matters to the company’s management.
- Exercises budgetary controls, accounting & physical controls and credit controls as per laid down procedures and asset management.
- Maintains an effective involvement and understanding of the business to contribute to key business decisions within the Company through financial advice and expertise.
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Identify trends, advise the company and recommend actions to a senior financial analyst based on sound analysis
- Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about novelty in the field
- Consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making within the broadest scope
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
- B.Sc Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
- A qualified chartered accountant with 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing/export Industry
- Proven working experience as a Finance Analyst
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
- Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
- Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
- ICAN/ ACCA Professional Membership is required.
- Must be able to use modern accounting software.

- Proven work experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role

Salary
