Job Description:
We are seeking a smart, detail-oriented, and highly accountable Account Officer to join our team in Imo State. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our financial integrity, responsible for managing daily transactions, maintaining impeccable records, and ensuring strict compliance with internal controls. You will work closely with Station Cashiers to reconcile revenues and expenses, providing management with the reliable data needed for strategic decision-making.

Requirements:
Financial Reconciliation & Documentation
Cashier Oversight: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations with Cashiers across various stations to ensure all revenue and expenses are accounted for.
Transaction Management: Manage daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounting activities.
Verification: Rigorously verify financial documents, receipts, invoices, and payment records for absolute accuracy and completeness.
Reporting & Analysis
Ledger Maintenance: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and comprehensive reports.
Management Summaries: Prepare financial summaries and performance reports to assist management in effective decision-making.
Cost Control: Monitor operational expenses and identify specific opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency.
Compliance & Audit Support
Policy Adherence: Enforce organizational financial policies and standard accounting procedures across all assigned units.
Internal Controls: Investigate any financial discrepancies or irregularities and provide timely, documented resolutions.
Audit Readiness: Support internal and external audit exercises by providing required documentation promptly and ensuring records are safeguard and audit-ready.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Experience: * Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
Experience in Oil & Gas, the service industry, or multi-location operations is a significant advantage.
Locational Requirement: Must reside in Imo State.
Technical Skills:
Strong mastery of Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software.
Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
