Job Description:

We are seeking a disciplined and proactive Warehouse Foreman to lead our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of warehouse activities from receiving and storage to inventory control and final dispatch. You will serve as the on-ground supervisor, ensuring that materials are handled safely and accurately while leading a team of assistants, operators, and loaders to meet rigorous operational targets.

The ideal candidate is an experienced logistics professional with a strong command of inventory management systems and the leadership grit to maintain a safe, high-productivity warehouse environment.

Requirements:

Operational Supervision

• Daily Workflow: Supervise all daily warehouse activities, including the coordination of loading and unloading teams.

• Storage Management: Ensure the proper labeling, systematic arrangement, and secure storage of all inventory to prevent material loss or damage.

• Issuance & Dispatch: Oversee the timely and accurate issuance of materials to production and the dispatch of finished products to customers.

Inventory Control & Accuracy

• Stock Audits: Conduct routine physical inventory counts and regular stock checks to ensure system data reflects physical reality.

• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all incoming and outgoing goods, supporting monthly reconciliation and audit processes.

• Discrepancy Reporting: Monitor stock levels closely and provide immediate reports on any shortages or variances.

Team Leadership & Safety

• Personnel Management: Supervise and assign daily tasks to warehouse assistants, forklift operators, and storekeepers, monitoring performance and discipline.

• Training: Train personnel on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and essential safety protocols.

• HSE Compliance: Enforce strict workplace safety standards and housekeeping practices (5S), ensuring the proper use of warehouse equipment and immediate reporting of unsafe conditions.

Reporting & Coordination

• Inter-departmental Liaison: Coordinate with Procurement, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless supply chain flow.

• Activity Reporting: Prepare comprehensive daily and monthly reports on warehouse activity, stock health, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Degree: HND or B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: 3–5 years of warehouse experience, specifically within manufacturing, FMCG, or logistics operations.

• Leadership: Proven supervisory experience is a significant advantage.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Inventory Mastery: Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse procedures, and stock control methodologies.

• Digital Literacy: Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in an industrial environment involving frequent standing, movement, and lifting.
