Job Description:
Telesales Agents at Moniepoint play a key role in driving merchant activation, increasing order frequency, and improving retention. As the voice of Moniepoint to our customers, you will be responsible for closing sales, following up on leads, confirming orders, and building long-term merchant relationships through timely, persuasive, and professional communication.
Key Responsibilities
Merchant Engagement & Follow-Up
Contact newly onboarded merchants to welcome them to Moniepoint and guide them through placing their first order.
Follow up with merchants who have not placed an order within one week of onboarding.
Maintain a consistent daily call schedule for repeat merchants, ensuring they restock on time.
Accurately receive and process merchant orders via phone in a timely manner.
Upsell and cross-sell by recommending high-demand or complementary products (SKUs).
Customer Relationship Management
Build trust and rapport with merchants through reliable, consistent, and helpful service.
Maintain a friendly, professional, and trustworthy tone to strengthen customer loyalty.
Handle objections, resolve minor complaints, and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate teams while tracking them for resolution.
Document merchant feedback, suggestions, and insights for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and persuasive selling abilities.
Strong capability to identify customer needs, present tailored solutions, and close sales.
Solid understanding of the products being offered.
Resilience in handling rejection while maintaining a positive and motivated attitude.
Ability to deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
Strong organizational skills to prioritize leads and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
Highly driven by achieving targets and earning performance-based rewards.
