Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber Territory Sales Manager with a "hunter" mindset and deep roots in the telecom industry. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for the total commercial health of an assigned territory. You will be the architect of our market penetration, driving aggressive sales growth for our entire suite of products—from SIM cards and data bundles to devices and Value-Added Services (VAS).
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will lead a high-performing field team and manage a complex network of distributors and retailers. Your mission is to ensure we are the "first choice" for customers at every touchpoint. If you have 3–5 years of mandatory telecom sales experience and the grit to turn market intelligence into revenue, we want you to lead our territory.
Requirements:
1. Territory Strategy & Channel Governance
Strategic Market Entry: Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to hit monthly and annual revenue targets within your assigned geography.
Ecosystem Expansion: Manage and grow relationships with distributors, dealers, and retail channels, ensuring optimal stock availability and brand presence.
Route Engineering: Design and monitor effective territory coverage plans and route planning to maximize outlet expansion and merchant productivity.
2. Sales Leadership & Performance Coaching
Team Orchestration: Lead, supervise, and coach a team of field sales executives and promoters to ensure peak performance.
Activation Excellence: Coordinate with marketing teams to execute high-impact on-ground promotions, activations, and campaigns.
Incentive Alignment: Ensure the field team and channel partners are aligned with company pricing, promotional guidelines, and performance incentives.
3. Market Intelligence & Revenue Analytics
Competitor Radar: Monitor competitor activities and market shifts in real-time, providing actionable intelligence to senior management.
Data-Driven Reporting: Track territory KPIs, prepare detailed performance reports, and present weekly/monthly growth updates to leadership.
Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of escalation for channel partners, resolving disputes and service issues to maintain a strong market reputation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Mandatory Experience: 3–5 years of proven sales experience specifically within the Telecom sector.
Education: OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Industry IQ: Strong understanding of telecom product lifecycles, USSD/App adoption, and regional market dynamics.
Core Competencies
Leadership: Ability to lead decentralized teams across a wide geographic area.
Negotiation: Expert-level skills in closing deals with large-scale distributors and corporate partners.
Mobility: High willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory to drive field execution.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret sales data and pivot strategies to address market challenges.
