Job Description:

We are seeking a commercially sharp and highly analytical Strategic Business & Investment Analyst to serve as the primary engine for capital allocation and investment evaluation across the Group. In a multi-sector environment, this role is the "Financial Architect", the person responsible for ensuring that every Naira deployed creates long-term shareholder value. This role is designed for a professional with 4–8 years of experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or Private Equity who can translate complex financial models into board-ready strategic insights.

Your mission is to support the Group Managing Director and Business Unit Heads in de-risking growth. You will be responsible for the entire investment lifecycle: from building 10-year 3-statement models and conducting rigorous NPV/IRR sensitivity analyses to leading market feasibility studies for new ventures. Requirements:

1. Investment Intelligence & Financial Modeling

• Predictive Modeling: Build and own detailed 3–10 year financial models to evaluate the viability of diverse investment opportunities.

• Risk Quantification: Conduct rigorous ROI, IRR, and Payback analyses, including Monte Carlo or sensitivity stress-testing to identify downside scenarios and risk exposure.

• CAPEX Governance: Evaluate capital expenditure proposals across the Group, recommending optimal strategies for resource allocation based on capital efficiency.

2. Feasibility, Business Case & Strategic Research

• Venture Architecture: Lead comprehensive market and operational feasibility studies, including TAM/SAM/SOM demand estimations and scalability assessments.

• Market Landscape: Conduct macroeconomic and industry research to identify high-potential sectors for diversification and joint venture (JV) opportunities.

• Competitor Benchmarking: Perform deep-dive pricing and competitor analysis to inform the strategic positioning of new business units.

3. Performance Tracking & Executive Decision Support

• Post-Investment Audit: Track the actual ROI of completed projects against initial projections, recommending corrective actions for underperforming initiatives.

• Board-Level Synthesis: Translate complex quantitative data into clear, structured "Investment Memos" and executive-level presentations for Board approval.

• Strategic Advisory: Attend high-level meetings to provide analytical backing during negotiations with external investors and partners.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA in Finance/Strategy or CFA/ACCA/ACA certification is highly desired.

• Experience: 4 – 8 years of progressive experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, PE/VC, or Big 4 Transaction Advisory.

• Technical Mastery: Expert-level Advanced Excel (Financial Modeling) and PowerPoint (Board-ready decks). Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is a plus.

Core Competencies

• Analytical Grit: A structured thinker capable of identifying the "Big Picture" while obsessing over the details of a financial statement.

• Executive Presence: Confident in challenging assumptions and presenting to C-Suite stakeholders with high discretion and confidentiality.
