Job Description:
We are seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage the lifecycle of our inventory. This role is the "nerve center" of our operations—ensuring that every item, from raw materials to finished goods, is accurately received, safely stored, and efficiently issued.
As a Storekeeper, you are the custodian of our assets. Your mission is to maintain 100% stock accuracy, prevent losses through rigorous documentation, and ensure that operational teams have the materials they need precisely when they need them. Requirements:
1. Inbound & Outbound Logistics
Receiving & Verification: Inspect all incoming supplies against purchase orders and delivery notes, ensuring quality and quantity standards are met before formal recording.
Controlled Issuance: Process stock requisitions only upon authorized approval, ensuring the "First-In, First-Out" (FIFO) or "First-Expired, First-Out" (FEFO) principles are applied where necessary.
Storage Optimization: Organize the store layout by category and safety standards to maximize space and ensure rapid retrieval of items.
2. Inventory Integrity & Audit
Real-Time Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-the-minute inventory data using stock cards or digital inventory management systems.
Reconciliation & Stock-Takes: Conduct regular physical cycle counts and monthly wall-to-wall audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.
Loss Prevention: Monitor and report any discrepancies, damages, or low-stock levels immediately to prevent operational downtime or financial loss.
3. Reporting & Facility Maintenance
Operational Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed daily, weekly, or monthly stock status reports to the Store Manager.
Security & Housekeeping: Ensure the store remains a secure, clean, and hazard-free environment at all times to protect both personnel and property.
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of BSC / HND / OND or an equivalent qualification.
Experience: Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in an Inventory Management role is a significant advantage.
Core Competencies
Integrity: High level of honesty and accountability in handling company assets.
Precision: Sharp attention to detail, especially when dealing with serial numbers, batch codes, or expiration dates.
Organization: Ability to maintain order in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for reporting to the Operations Manager.
Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy (Excel/Data Entry) and strong record-keeping skills.
