Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to support the daily operational backbone of our facility in Gwarimpa. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring that our supply chain operates at peak efficiency.

You will be responsible for the physical and data-driven management of stock—ranging from receiving and storage to accurate picking and dispatch. This position requires a "safety-first" mindset and a commitment to maintaining an organized environment. Requirements:

1. Inventory Lifecycle & Fulfillment

  • Receiving & Inbound: Accurately verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and inspect for damages.

  • Storage Optimization: Organize and store goods in designated areas to maximize space and ensure easy retrieval.

  • Picking & Packing: Execute orders with precision, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are packed securely for dispatch.

2. Operational Support & Coordination

  • Assured Supply: Assist in monitoring stock levels to align with the company's continuous supply goals and contingency plans.

  • Documentation: Maintain clean and accurate records of all stock movements using basic numeracy and literacy skills.

  • Franchisee & Supplier Support: Work within the broader supply chain framework to ensure that brand standards are met during every dispatch to franchisees or customers.

3. Safety, Compliance & Maintenance

  • Safety Stewardship: Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment.

  • Waste Reduction: Support "Spend Smarter" initiatives by handling goods carefully to minimize breakage and inventory shrinkage.

  • General Upkeep: Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and audit-ready at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Minimum of a B.Sc. in any related field (Logistics, Business, or Social Sciences).

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment is required.

  • Location: Candidates residing in Gwarimpa or its immediate environs are preferred.

Core Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous accuracy in counting stock and reading order sheets.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of a warehouse environment, including lifting and moving goods.
