Job Description:
We are seeking a highly disciplined and operationally focused Store Manager – Issuing to oversee the critical flow of materials from our stores to production, maintenance, and site project teams. This role is essential for maintaining plant uptime; you will ensure that the right parts reach the right hands at the right time, with absolute accuracy. Requirements:
Issuing Operations: Direct the daily issuing of materials based on approved requisitions, job cards, and work orders. You will ensure the "kiting" and staging of materials are done with precision, adhering strictly to FIFO/FEFO principles.
Compliance & Authorization: Act as the final gatekeeper for material releases. Verify all authorizations before issuance and implement an approval matrix for all critical, high-value spares.
Urgency Management: Partner closely with Maintenance and Planning teams to prioritize breakdown/emergency spares, expediting the issuance process to keep the plant running.
Team Leadership: Manage, train, and roster the issuing team. Coach them on technical part identification and the proper use of material handling tools.
Loss Prevention: Maintain a secure issuing environment. Utilize access control and CCTV oversight to ensure zero theft, pilferage, or unauthorized removal of stock.
Accuracy & Reconciliation: Conduct regular physical checks of issuing points and satellite stores, reconciling these counts against the central ERP/WMS records.
Stock Optimization: Monitor usage trends and provide data-backed recommendations for reorder point and critical level adjustments.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of store/issuing experience in a heavy industry environment. Experience in cement or large-scale manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Systems Proficiency: Deep hands-on experience with ERP/WMS stores modules and material issue workflows.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to read technical manuals, identify specialized spare parts, and understand engineering components.
