Job Description:
We are seeking a highly specialized and board-certified Sonographer / Sonologist to anchor the diagnostic imaging department at our Lekki Phase 1 facility. In a high-standards clinical environment, success is defined by "Interpretive Precision", the ability to capture and analyze high-fidelity ultrasound data that guides critical medical interventions. This role is designed for an "Imaging Architect" with 3–5 years of hands-on experience who possesses the mandatory Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Ultrasound and a current Radiographers License.
Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Error Diagnostic Reporting and Exceptional Patient Advocacy." You will be the primary authority on non-invasive internal imaging: responsible for performing complex scans, maintaining equipment calibration, and communicating findings with clinical clarity to referring physicians. If you possess "Diagnostic Grit," a valid PGD in Sonography, and a commitment to the ethical standards of the Nigerian medical community, we want you to drive our clinical excellence.
Requirements:
1. Advanced Ultrasound Diagnostics & Interpretation
High-Fidelity Imaging: Perform comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties (Obstetric, Abdominal, Small Parts, Vascular, etc.) in strict adherence to medical protocols.
Analytical Reporting: Accurately interpret, document, and generate formal reports on ultrasound findings, ensuring that all pathological observations are clearly detailed.
Clinician Collaboration: Communicate critical or anomalous findings professionally and promptly with referring clinicians to support rapid patient management.
2. Patient Governance & Ergonomic Care
Clinical Preparation: Ensure patients are correctly prepared, positioned, and briefed on the procedure to minimize anxiety and maximize image quality.
Safety & Ethics: Adhere strictly to professional health and safety standards, maintaining the highest levels of patient confidentiality and medical ethics.
Documentation Fidelity: Maintain impeccable patient records and digital imaging archives, ensuring all data is "Audit-Ready" and easily retrievable for longitudinal care.
3. Technical Stewardship & Quality Assurance
Equipment Governance: Operate and maintain sophisticated ultrasound systems, ensuring all transducers and software are functioning at peak efficiency.
System Calibration: Conduct routine equipment checks and report any technical drifts to the biomedical team to ensure diagnostic reliability.
Sanitary Protocols: Maintain a sterile and organized imaging suite, ensuring that all equipment is sanitized between patients according to infection control guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Valid University Degree and a mandatory Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Ultrasound Sonography (Certificate must be in hand).
Licensure: A current and valid Radiographers License is non-negotiable.
Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience in diagnostic ultrasound. (Note: A generalized Radiology background without ultrasound specialization is insufficient).
Statutory: Valid NYSC Discharge Certificate.
Core Competencies
Diagnostic Grit: Exceptional attention to detail and a "Zero-Error" mindset in image interpretation.
Professionalism: Strong patient-care skills and the ability to maintain poise in a fast-paced Lekki-based clinical setting.
Technical Savvy: Advanced proficiency in operating modern 3D/4D ultrasound systems.
