We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused SME Relationship Manager to join our team in Lagos. You will be the primary advocate and financial partner for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), playing a pivotal role in their success while driving significant growth for our organization.

Requirements:
Portfolio Management & Growth
Relationship Building: Develop and manage a portfolio of SME clients, acting as their go-to advisor for financial solutions.
Asset & Liability Growth: Actively drive both asset creation (lending) and liability mobilization (deposits) to achieve and exceed revenue and growth targets.
Business Development: Identify and acquire new high-potential SME accounts, deepening relationships to increase the share of wallet.
Credit & Risk Assessment
Strategic Credit Appraisal: Utilize your strong understanding of credit analysis to evaluate client financial health, structure loan facilities, and mitigate risks.
Financial Structuring: Work closely with clients to structure facilities that meet their specific business needs while ensuring strict adherence to our credit policy and risk appetite.
Monitoring: Maintain constant oversight of your portfolio’s performance, proactively identifying and managing potential credit challenges.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: 5–7 years of professional experience in SME banking, relationship management, or direct sales within a financial institution.
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Technical Expertise:
Proven, demonstrated ability to originate and manage SME portfolios.
Strong, hands-on experience in credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and credit structuring.
A deep understanding of how to drive both asset and liability growth in a competitive market.
Soft Skills:
Proactive Sales Mindset: You are comfortable originating business and closing deals.
Analytical Aptitude: You can quickly synthesize complex financial information into clear business decisions.
Relationship-Driven: You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build trust with SME owners and stakeholders.
Result-Oriented: You have a proven track record of consistently meeting sales and portfolio growth targets.
