CBM is an International Christian Development Organization, committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the poorest countries of the world. CBM provides grants sourced from private and institutional donors to local partners, who subsequently implement the grants on the basis of contracts signed with CBM detailing implementation, accounting, and reporting standards. In this set-up, CBM Country Offices (CO) perform control and monitoring procedures aimed at partner projects; control reports from implementing partners to CBM, including comparison with original source documents, project contract and cost plans; and ensure compliance with organizational and statutory requirements.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- To keep pace with the growth of the Nigerian Country Office, we are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to be based in Abuja Nigeria.
- The position is a position with 40 hours/week.
- This position is only filled locally, with contractual conditions of the respective country. An expatriation is not intended.
Responsibilities
- Implementation and optimization of the financial operations model to enhance business performance and ensure seamless service delivery to business units.
- Oversees and ensures the timely, accurate, and efficient processing of financial transactions and maintaining compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Drives the maintenance and continuous improvement of accounting records, ensuring the reliability, integrity, and accuracy of financial management information systems to support strategic decision-making.
- Implementation of financial accounting practices to enhance business performance and ensure the seamless delivery of financial services to business units.
- Oversees and ensures the timely, accurate, and efficient processing of transactions across all financial operations within the deployed business unit.
- Provides strategic financial oversight and collaborates with the Team Manager for Financial Operations to ensure the smooth execution of financial activities and operational efficiency.
- Ensures the integrity, accuracy, and continuous improvement of financial management information systems by overseeing regular updates and maintenance of accounting records at the Country Office level.
Requirements:
- Holder of a Degree in Accounting, Business Management or similar, professional qualifications in accounting an advantage (CPA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar position, preferably with an international development organization.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Excellent in Data management, captures data fast and accurate.
- Maintains good customer relationships.
- Challenges and supports change activities.
- Works in a solution-oriented manner and makes decisions.
- Very good understanding of Team specific relevant content.
- Good understanding of Processes, Systems & Applications.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Good knowledge of MS SharePoint Solutions.
- Identification with Christian values and the mandate of the CBM.
