Job Description:
We are seeking a high-impact Head of Sales & Partnerships to drive the next phase of our revenue growth and market expansion. In this strategic leadership role, you will own the end-to-end sales and distribution strategy across our PoS, Mobile Money, and Card channels.
You are not just a sales leader; you are an ecosystem builder. Your mission is to scale our footprint by forging high-value partnerships with FMCGs, Aggregators, and Enterprise Merchants while ensuring all operations remain strictly aligned with CBN guidelines. If you have 8+ years of fintech experience and a track record of mobilizing high-performing field teams, we want you to lead our commercial strategy.
Requirements:
1. Strategy Development & Market Expansion
Distribution Architecture: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to maximize reach across agents, merchants, and digital revenue streams.
New Market Entry: Identify and scale growth areas and new markets, ensuring all launch plans comply with financial service regulations and CBN provisions.
Revenue Governance: Plan and manage sales initiatives to hit aggressive profitability targets while maintaining sustainable customer acquisition costs.
2. Strategic Partnerships & Pipeline Management
Value Chain Integration: Build and nurture strategic alliances with FMCGs, cooperatives, and aggregators to embed our financial services into existing supply chains.
Pipeline Oversight: Oversee the high-velocity sales pipeline, from lead generation and negotiation to complex deal closures with enterprise merchants.
Collaborative Growth: Partner with Product and Marketing teams to translate customer needs into targeted campaigns and feature sets.
3. Team Leadership & Performance Analytics
Field Team Mobilization: Recruit, train, and lead high-performing sales teams, fostering a culture of accountability and results.
Incentive Management: Design and manage sales budgets, commissions, and performance incentives to drive maximum field productivity.
Data-Driven Decisions: Lead forecasting and performance analytics, using KPIs to refine strategies and pivot toward high-growth opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (Master’s/MBA or relevant certifications are a major advantage).
Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in Fintech or Mobile Money, with a proven track record in PoS, Merchant, and Agency segments.
Regulatory IQ: Deep understanding of CBN guidelines, digital financial regulations, and emerging fintech trends.
Startup Grit: Experience in tech-driven or startup environments where agility and hands-on leadership are required.
Core Competencies
Negotiation Mastery: Ability to close high-stakes deals with enterprise-level partners and aggregators.
Leadership: Exceptional experience in building and managing high-performing, geographically dispersed field teams.
Analytical Skills: Expert-level ability to interpret sales data and market trends to forecast revenue.
Salary
