Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Auditor to direct our auditing process and safeguard the integrity of our financial operations. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of our financial controls, ensuring that all processes are error-free and strictly compliant with industry standards and legal regulations. You will transition from technical execution to strategic oversight, leading a team of junior auditors while identifying systemic ways to increase operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate combines a rigorous mathematical mindset with the leadership ability to mentor a team and present complex findings to senior management with clarity and precision.

Requirements:

Strategic Audit Oversight

• Audit Planning: Design and oversee the end-to-end auditing process, ensuring that all financial cycles are covered and evaluated.

• Risk Assessment: Perform comprehensive risk and control assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in the company’s financial framework.

• Reporting & Presentation: Consolidate audit findings into actionable reports for the Auditing Manager and present recommendations to increase compliance and overall business efficiency.

Team Leadership & Quality Control

• Resource Allocation: Manage the auditing team by effectively allocating responsibilities to junior and staff auditors based on project requirements.

• Work Review: Serve as the final point of internal review, meticulously checking team members’ work for technical accuracy and adherence to compliance protocols.

• Mentorship: Provide guidance and leadership to staff auditors, fostering a culture of professional excellence and high attention to detail.

Operational Compliance

• Regulatory Alignment: Stay updated on all applicable laws and financial regulations to ensure the company remains in total compliance.

• Periodic Audits: Coordinate and lead periodical audits, ensuring they are completed within established timelines and reflect the true state of financial operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) in Accounting or Finance.

  • Master’s Degree and professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or CMA) are highly desirable.

• Experience:

  • Proven experience as an auditor, with a clear history of managing complex audit cycles.

  • In-depth understanding of modern auditing and internal control practices.

• Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and specialized accounting/auditing software.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for interpreting complex financial datasets.

• Core Competencies:

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a technical team.

  • Organization: Superior ability to manage multiple audit timelines simultaneously.
