Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and hardworking Electrical / Solar Installer Trainee to join our technical team. This position is a dedicated entry-level pathway for individuals looking to build a professional career in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector. You will work directly under the mentorship of senior technicians, gaining hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and optimization of cutting-edge solar power systems.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on learner with a technical mindset who is ready to transition from theory to practical, site-based electrical work.
Requirements:
Installation & Technical Support
System Deployment: Assist senior technicians in the physical installation of solar panels, mounting structures, and wiring.
Component Setup: Support the configuration and installation of inverters, charge controllers, and battery storage systems.
Tool Handling: Learn to use professional electrical tools and testing equipment safely and efficiently on project sites.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
System Upkeep: Participate in routine maintenance checks to ensure solar setups are performing at peak efficiency.
Problem Solving: Assist in identifying and troubleshooting electrical faults or system malfunctions under supervision.
Safety & Compliance
HSE Standards: Strictly follow all on-site safety procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to technical guidelines.
Site Management: Ensure project sites are kept organized and that materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Minimum of SSCE or a Technical Certification (e.g., NABTEB or Trade Test) in a related field.
Knowledge: A basic understanding of electrical systems or physics is a significant advantage.
Physical Ability: Ability to work on-site, which may involve climbing ladders, working at heights, and lifting equipment.
Mindset:
A strong willingness to learn and a genuine passion for the solar industry.
A proactive, "can-do" attitude with a focus on teamwork.
Punctuality and a high level of discipline regarding technical instructions.
