Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and results-driven Quality Control Officer to join our team in the FMCG sector. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance before they reach the consumer. The ideal candidate is passionate about operational excellence and possesses a sharp eye for detail to maintain the integrity of our production processes.

Requirements:

• Standards Compliance: Monitor and enforce strict quality control protocols across the production line to ensure all products meet industry and company standards.

• Testing & Inspection: Conduct regular physical and chemical tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

• Process Oversight: Supervise the manufacturing process to identify any deviations from standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Reporting: Prepare detailed quality reports, documenting test results, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken.

• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues or customer complaints and implement strategies to prevent recurrence.

• Safety & Hygiene: Ensure that the production environment adheres to NAFDAC, SON, and other relevant food safety and hygiene regulations.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the production and warehouse teams to manage the quarantine and release of products.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Food Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.

• Experience: Proven experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role, specifically within the FMCG or Food & Beverage industry.

• Technical Skills: Familiarity with laboratory equipment and quality management systems (e.g., ISO, HACCP).

• Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to quality assessment.

• Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

• Location: Ability to work full-time in Orile-Iganmu, Lagos.
