Job Description:

The Quality Control Officer (QC) is responsible for ensuring that all food products prepared in the Central Kitchen and Pastry meet Bukka Hut’s quality, safety, hygiene, and consistency standards before dispatch to outlets. They support operational excellence by monitoring processes, validating CCPs, enforcing SOP compliance, and preventing quality defects.

Requirements:

• Inspect all incoming raw materials for quality, freshness, packaging integrity, and compliance according to SOP.
• Verify supplier documents (COA, shelf life, specifications).
• Monitor all production stages to ensure SOP and CCP compliance.
• Check recipe measurements, cooking times, temperatures, and portion accuracy.
• Ensure proper hygiene practices for staff, equipment, utensils, and workstations.
• Enforce food safety standards and HACCP guidelines.
• Conduct organoleptic analysis ( taste, texture, colour, and appearance) checks on finished products
• Approve or reject finished batches before dispatch.
• Verify packaging, labelling, batch coding, and storage conditions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Reduction in non-conforming materials
• First-time quality pass rate
• Compliance with HACCP and SOP requirements
• Reduction in outlet complaints linked to CK
• Documentation accuracy and timely reporting
• Hygiene and sanitation audit scores for CK.
