Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to join our production facility in Sagamu. In this role, you will support the Quality Control team in maintaining high standards for raw materials, in-process production, and finished products. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional with a background in quality standards to grow within a structured manufacturing environment, specifically within the plastics industry.

Requirements:

• Inspections: Conduct regular checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specified quality benchmarks.

• Production Monitoring: Support the QC Officer in monitoring production lines to identify and flag any defects or deviations from standard operating procedures.

• Testing: Assist in performing physical and chemical tests on plastic components, ensuring durability and compliance with safety standards.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all inspections, test results, and non-conformities found during the production cycle.

• Compliance Support: Help ensure that the production area remains compliant with safety, health, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

• Reporting: Promptly report any significant quality issues to the QC Manager to facilitate immediate corrective action.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: OND or HND in Science Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.

• Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a Quality Control role.

• Industry Knowledge: Previous experience working within a Plastic manufacturing setting is highly preferred and will be considered a distinct advantage.

• Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle defects in products.

• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate findings clearly to production teams and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
