Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber and creatively driven PR & Communications Consultant to join our team in Ikeja. In an era of instant digital scrutiny, success is defined by "Narrative Authority", the ability to craft compelling brand stories that resonate across traditional and digital ecosystems. This role is designed for a "Strategic Communicator" with 3–5 years of experience (ideally agency-side) who can blend "Creative Storytelling" with the "Media Diplomacy" required to manage high-stakes reputation campaigns.
Your mission is to ensure "Seamless Brand Positioning and Proactive Crisis Resilience." You will be a key architect in our communications engine: responsible for high-quality content production, digital PR implementation, and the cultivation of elite media relationships. Requirements:
1. Narrative Development & Content Stewardship
Creative Contribution: Collaborate with account management and creative teams to brainstorm and develop integrated PR campaigns that capture market attention.
Editorial Excellence: Produce high-quality, persuasive content ranging from press releases and op-eds to white papers and digital storytelling scripts.
Brand Consistency: Ensure that all communication outputs align with client brand voices and overarching strategic objectives.
2. Media Diplomacy & Digital Influence
Relationship Governance: Manage and expand a network of key media contacts, journalists, and influencers to secure high-value earned media coverage.
Digital PR Execution: Implement sophisticated digital PR strategies across social platforms to increase brand visibility and engagement.
Crisis Coordination: Assist in monitoring brand sentiment and developing rapid-response communication strategies to protect client reputations during sensitive events.
3. Campaign Orchestration & Reporting
Project Lifecycle Management: Manage multiple PR projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables meet strict deadlines without compromising quality.
Impact Measurement: Utilize PR tools to track campaign performance, media reach, and sentiment, providing data-backed reports to stakeholders.
Interdisciplinary Synergy: Work effectively within a team structure to ensure that PR efforts are synchronized with broader marketing and digital initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Tertiary degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in PR or Communications (Agency experience is highly preferred).
Certification Advantage: Relevant professional certifications (NIPR, CIPR, PRCA, or CIM) are a significant plus.
