We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Teams Voice Administrator to join our IT team.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and configuring Microsoft Teams Voice solutions, including Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and Calling Plans. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft 365, Teams Phone System, and SIP-based telephony solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and manage Microsoft Teams Voice solutions: Implement Direct Routing, Calling Plans, and Operator Connect to ensure seamless voice communication.
  • Deploy and integrate Session Border Controllers (SBCs): Ensure proper integration with Microsoft Teams for optimal voice performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve voice-related issues: Address call quality, routing, and interoperability issues with PSTN providers.
  • Manage Teams policies and configurations: Support voice-enabled features and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with network and security teams: Ensure compliance and optimal performance of voice infrastructure.
  • Perform migrations: Transition from legacy PBX systems to Microsoft Teams.
  • Monitor Teams Voice infrastructure: Use analytics and reporting tools to optimize call performance.
  • Provide end-user support and training: Assist users with Microsoft Teams Phone features and functionalities.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for voice configurations, policies, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Network Design: Design and implement network architecture to support voice communication, including bandwidth management, QoS (Quality of Service), and redundancy planning.
  • Training Responsibilities:
    • Develop and deliver training programs for internal staff on Microsoft Teams Voice features and best practices.
    • Conduct workshops and training sessions to ensure staff are proficient in using Teams Voice tools and functionalities.
    • Create training materials, including manuals, guides, and video tutorials, to support ongoing learning.
    • Provide one-on-one coaching and support to staff members as needed.
    • Tools for Training Delivery: Utilize tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom), eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, iSpring), and collaboration tools to deliver effective training.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert (MS-720).
  • Experience: Proven experience in voice administration and telephony solutions.

Technical and Implementation Experience:

  • Proven track record in implementing Microsoft Teams Voice solutions, including Direct Routing and Calling Plans.
  • Experience in deploying and managing Session Border Controllers (SBCs) for voice integration.
  • Hands-on experience with SIP trunk configuration and management.
  • Ability to design and implement secure voice communication networks.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting complex voice-related issues and optimizing call quality.

Specific Technologies:

  • Microsoft Teams Phone System: Provides call control and Private Branch Exchange (PBX) capabilities.
  • Direct Routing: Connects your own PSTN carrier to Microsoft Teams.
  • Operator Connect: Integrates your PSTN carrier with Microsoft Teams.
  • Session Border Controllers (SBCs): Ensures secure and reliable voice communication.
  • PowerShell: Used for automation and configuration tasks.

Deployment Patterns for Best Practice:

  • Hybrid Deployment: Combining Teams Phone with Calling Plan, Direct Routing, and Operator Connect to meet diverse organizational needs.
  • Redundancy Planning: Implementing failover mechanisms to ensure uninterrupted voice services.
  • Quality of Service (QoS): Prioritizing voice traffic to maintain call quality.

Solution Presales and Solution Architecture Experience: A Plus

  • Presales Support: Provide technical expertise and support during the presales process, including solution demonstrations and answering technical queries.
  • Solution Architecture: Design and architect comprehensive Microsoft Teams Voice solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and propose effective voice solutions.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in creating detailed proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Implementation Planning: Develop implementation plans that align with best practices and client objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and PSTN connectivity.
  • Familiarity with voice migration strategies and tools.
  • Knowledge of network and security protocols related to voice communication.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, SIP-based telephony, and PowerShell.
  • Security: Expertise in configuring and managing security protocols for voice communication, including encryption and secure SIP (SIPS).
  • SIP Management: Proficiency in managing SIP trunks, configuring SIP endpoints, and troubleshooting SIP signaling issues.
  • Network Security: Understanding of firewall configurations, VPNs, and network security measures related to voice communication.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards for voice communication.
  • Documentation: Ability to create detailed and accurate documentation for voice systems and processes.
  • Network Design: Experience in designing network infrastructure to support voice services, including QoS and redundancy.
  • Training: Strong ability to develop and deliver effective training programs and materials.
