About Company:
X-Force Engineering Limited, is an infrastructure and construction contract servicing company.
Job Description:
X-Force Engineering Limited is seeking a meticulous and technical Inventory/Store Officer to manage our material logistics across construction and infrastructure project sites. This is not a standard desk-based role; you will be the technical expert responsible for verifying, storing, and tracking the critical materials from rebar and cement to structural steel that drive our engineering projects. We need a professional who combines a deep understanding of civil engineering materials with rigid supply chain discipline.
Requirements:
Material Verification: Inspect and verify all incoming supplies against purchase orders and project specifications. You are the final gatekeeper for quality; if materials do not meet engineering standards, you reject them immediately.
Technical Classification: Use your working knowledge of construction materials to accurately identify and classify stock items, ensuring they are stored in optimal conditions to prevent degradation.
Inventory Accuracy: Record all stock movements (receipts, issuances, returns) daily. You will be responsible for maintaining an audit-ready inventory system.
Reconciliation & Audits: Lead daily spot checks, weekly cycle counts, and monthly physical inventory exercises, investigating and reporting any discrepancies to management.
Supply Chain Continuity: Proactively monitor reorder thresholds for critical construction consumables to prevent site downtime due to material shortages.
Store Management & Safety: Organize the store using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles. Ensure full compliance with HSE standards, specifically regarding the safe stacking of heavy materials and proper use of PPE.
Financial Reporting: Provide accurate weekly and monthly reports on stock levels, slow-moving items, and budget consumption to the Procurement and Finance teams.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: B.Sc/HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering Technology, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) are highly desirable.
Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in inventory or materials management, ideally within the construction, civil engineering, or heavy-industry sectors.
Technical Expertise: Proven ability to identify and handle construction materials such as structural steel, reinforcement bars, aggregates, and waterproofing agents.
Digital Skills: Proficiency in manual record-keeping and modern ERP/Inventory Management software.
Operational Grit: Ability to work in a site-based environment that requires strict safety compliance and high attention to detail under pressure.
