Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Inventory Control Accountant to anchor the fiscal engine of our Flour Operations in Apapa. In the high-volume FMCG and manufacturing sector, success is defined by "Inventory Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize physical stock movements with the clinical precision required for Sub-ledger Reconciliation, Accurate Costing, and the mitigation of Financial Exposure. This role is designed for a "Fiscal Architect" with a B.Sc./HND in Accounting and an ACA/ACCA certification who can blend "Analytical Grit" (resolving ledger variances) with the "Operational Agility" required to monitor transit locations and spare parts transactions.
Requirements:
1. Transaction Orchestration & System Governance
Posting Sovereignty: Ensure all inventory transactions and stock transfers are correctly captured in the system, acting as the primary "Source of Transaction Accuracy."
Costing Architecture: Monitor stock status and item setups to ensure accurate costing at all times, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for margin integrity.
Transit Stewardship: Monitor transit locations to ensure transfers are completed within standard timelines, ensuring the "Source of Movement Transparency."
2. Reconciliation Resilience & Control Logic
Ledger Sovereignty: Perform monthly reconciliations of the inventory sub-ledger with the general ledger, acting as the primary "Source of Variance Resolution."
Provision Architecture: Ensure adequate provision for stock losses to prevent prior-year adjustments, maintaining the "Source of Fiscal Foresight."
Control Stewardship: Implement rigorous approval processes for stock write-offs, providing the "Operational Foundation" for inventory security.
3. Performance Integrity & Reporting Power
Balance Sovereignty: Ensure "Zero-Negative-Balances" and eliminate incorrect inventory postings with millimetric focus.
Reporting Architecture: Prepare high-fidelity weekly and monthly inventory reports, including stock level reviews, acting as the primary "Source of Operational Visibility."
Manual Logic: Reconcile manual inventory records with system records, utilizing 5 years of accounting experience to optimize the "Source of Data Accuracy."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; a Master’s degree is a strategic advantage.
Certification: Mandatory Professional qualification (ACA / ACCA) or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in financial management, with at least 3 years specifically in manufacturing finance or inventory control.
