Job Description:

Are you a technically sharp IT professional looking to drive the digital future of banking? We are seeking a proactive IT Officer to manage and optimize our bank’s technology operations. In this role, you will be the backbone of our digital reliability, ensuring that our core banking systems, IT infrastructure, and digital platforms are secure, efficient, and always available.

From managing the Core Banking Application (CBA) to overseeing high-stakes digital integrations like USSD and Mobile Banking, you will play a critical role in providing a seamless experience for our customers.

Requirements:

Core Banking & Digital Channels

  • CBA Management: Support and maintain the Core Banking Application to ensure maximum uptime, optimal performance, and data integrity.

  • Digital Integration: Provide technical oversight for digital banking channels, including Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, USSD, and ATM systems.

  • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with technology partners and service providers to ensure high service quality and strict SLA compliance.

Infrastructure & Security

  • System Monitoring: Maintain the bank’s IT infrastructure, including servers, local networks, firewalls, and hardware endpoints.

  • Security & Compliance: Implement IT security policies and ensure the bank meets all regulatory compliance standards and system audits.

  • Incident Response: Monitor for security threats and implement mitigation strategies to prevent data breaches or system downtime.

Technical Support & Projects

  • Project Management: Plan and execute IT projects, including critical system upgrades and new technology deployments.

  • Helpdesk Services: Provide high-tier technical support to internal staff, ensuring the rapid resolution of technical bottlenecks.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in IT operations or systems management.

  • Industry Background: Previous experience in Banking or Financial Services is highly preferred. Experience with Core Banking Applications (CBA) is a major advantage.

  • Technical Certifications (Desirable): CCNA, CompTIA (A+/Network+/Security+), ITIL, PMP, or specialized Cybersecurity certifications.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Deep understanding of banking technology ecosystems.

    • Proficiency in network management and firewall administration.

    • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
