Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Head of Architecture to anchor the design engine of SAFRITECTURE across the African continent. In a specialized built-environment landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the speed of the conceptual stroke and the precision of the business model success is defined by "Architectural Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize fundamental design principles with the clinical precision required for Policy Formation, Problem Solving, and Pan-African Implementation. This role is designed for a "Visionary Architect", specifically a professional with at least 5 years post-qualification experience who can blend "Historical Grit" (possessing a deep appreciation for everything from Corinthian capitals to Bio-climatic architecture) with the "Intellectual Agility" required to lead monthly Command Centre Meetings and navigate the complexities of international travel.

Requirements:

1. Orchestration & Design Governance

• Sovereignty of Vision: Implement the SAFRITECTURE model across Africa with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Continental Design Direction."

• Historical Architecture: Apply a deep grasp of architectural history—from the Renaissance and Baroque to Brutalism and De Stijl—providing the "Structural Foundation" for modern African applications.

• Integrity Stewardship: Participate in Command Centre Meetings and shape policy, ensuring the "Source of Business Model Alignment" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Tactical Resilience & Intellectual Logic

• Creativity Sovereignty: Think creatively and use independent judgment to solve complex problems, acting as the primary "Source of Design Innovation."

• Theoretical Architecture: Hold high-level discussions on masters like Hassan Fathy, Demas Nwoko, and Frank Lloyd Wright, providing the "Functional Foundation" for artistic and technical excellence.

• Contextual Stewardship: Balance the Golden Ratio and the Icons of Tropical Architecture, maintaining the "Source of Aesthetic Harmony."

3. Operational Integrity & Global Power

• Mobility Sovereignty: Manage a rigorous travel schedule across the continent, acting as the primary "Source of Cross-Border Project Execution."

• Leadership Architecture: Report directly to the CEO in Lagos, providing the "Relational Foundation" for organizational transformation.

• Velocity Logic: Utilize 5+ years of post-qualification expertise to accelerate the "Concept-to-Implementation" cycle, maximizing the "Source of Architectural Throughput."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a challenging architectural environment.

• Knowledge: Expert grasp of Modern Day Africa application and Architectural History (Baroque, Modernism, Constructivism, etc.).

• Intellectual Power: Fluency in the works of masters including Francis Kéré, Zaha Hadid, Santiago Calatrava, and Ade Shokunbi.

• Logistics: Current International Passport (1+ year validity) and willingness to travel within Africa.

• Theoretical Grit: Ability to blend fine art, design, photography, and film into architectural practice.
