Job Description:

We are seeking a licensed, knowledgeable, and patient-focused Pharmacist to serve as a vital link in our healthcare delivery system. This role is designed for a professional who views pharmacy as more than just "filling prescriptions"—it is about ensuring medication safety, promoting long-term wellness, and providing expert clinical counseling.

As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end pharmaceutical care of our patients, from meticulous prescription review and accurate dispensing to collaborating with broader healthcare teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Requirements:

1. Clinical Governance & Medication Safety

• Prescription Integrity: Review and interpret prescriptions with 100% accuracy, ensuring legality, correct dosage, and suitability based on patient history.

• Drug Utilization Review: Identify and resolve potential drug-drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse side effects before medication reaches the patient.

• Inventory & Compliance: Oversee the accurate labeling and dispensing of both prescription and OTC medications while strictly upholding pharmaceutical regulations.

2. Patient Advocacy & Counseling

• Therapeutic Counseling: Provide expert guidance to patients on the "how and why" of their medications, including dosage schedules, administration techniques, and lifestyle adjustments.

• Health Promotion: Act as a community wellness advocate, providing advice on over-the-counter (OTC) treatments and preventive health measures.

• Record Integrity: Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient profiles and medication therapy documentation using digital pharmacy systems.

3. Professional Collaboration & Operations

• Inter-professional Liaison: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions or suggest alternative therapies for better patient outcomes.

• Systems Management: Utilize pharmacy management software to track stock levels, manage insurance claims, and maintain digital health records.

• Regulatory Stewardship: Ensure the pharmacy remains in full compliance with local and national drug safety standards and licensing requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D).

• Experience: 2–3 years of Post-NYSC experience in a retail, community, or hospital pharmacy setting.

• Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Pharmacist License to practice in Nigeria (PCN).
