Job Description:

At The Paradigm Architects, finance is not just about numbers it is about control, structure, and strategic decision-making. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and disciplined Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our Kano office.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our projects remain financially disciplined and profitable. You will not merely record transactions; you will control costs, drive efficiency, and provide the strategic insights necessary for our growth. Requirements:

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Financial Oversight: Manage all financial operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial records.

  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and maintain robust financial dashboards for management visibility.

  • Strategic Insights: Analyze financial performance and provide actionable data to support decision-making, profitability, and cost-structure optimization.

Budgeting & Cost Management (Critical)

  • Project Budgeting: Develop and manage operational and project budgets in close collaboration with Quantity Surveyors and the Operations team.

  • Cost Control: Track project expenses against approved budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and proactively prevent budget overruns.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Cash Flow Strategy: Monitor inflows and outflows to ensure smooth project execution and liquidity.

  • Allocation: Ensure proper fund allocation and utilization across all active projects.

  • Forecasting: Prepare detailed cash flow forecasts and financial plans to sustain business operations.

Procurement & Financial Oversight

  • Control: Provide financial oversight on all procurement processes, ensuring value-for-money in every expenditure.

  • Verification: Verify and approve the financial aspects of purchase requests and monitor vendor payments and commitments.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.) and manage all statutory remittances and filings.

  • Process Improvement: Develop and enforce financial control systems, ensuring clear documentation, audit trails, and the mitigation of financial risks.

  • Audit Readiness: Prepare the company for internal and external audits.

Payroll & Strategic Support

  • Operations: Oversee payroll preparation, salary disbursement, and ensure all statutory deductions (tax, pension) are accurately handled.

  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the company's business growth and expansion plans through rigorous financial planning and resource management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Certification: Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in finance, with proven expertise in a construction, real estate, or project-based environment.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced level).

    • Deep understanding of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and project costing methodologies.

  • Key Competencies:

    • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of personal integrity.

    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

    • A "financial discipline" mindset you are proactive in controlling costs rather than just recording them.

    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.

Salary

₦300,000 - ₦400,000/month
